About the UPC: Universities Purchasing Consortia (UPC) are a collection of not-for-profit organisations that help universities and colleges buy smarter. Members use purchasing consortium frameworks and support services to make sure their procurement activities deliver value for money to students, staff and wider communities. They help universities improve performance across all professional services.
British Universities belong to one of six consortiums depending on their location within the UK: The six UPC include:
- The Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC) for Scotland
- The Higher Education Purchasing Consortium Wales (HEPCW)
- The London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC)
- The North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium’s (NEUPC)
- The North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC)
- The Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC)
